A Challenging Meme

I finally decided to try the meme which requires only a single word answer to each question. I last saw it at suburbia's place. It must be the toughest I have ever attempted! Could anything be more challenging, for a woman? OK, if by any chance there is a man visiting my site, don't be tempted to reply to that one - not if you're looking forward to your Christmas dinner, anyway.

I needed at least 3 words to reply to these questions and some required a whole paragraph, if not a whole post. Anyway, here is my attempt:

1. Where is your cell phone? Safe

2. Your significant other? Grumpy

3. Your hair? Superfluous

4. Your mother? Paragliding

5. Your father? Driving

6. Your favourite thing? Preparation H

7. Your dream last night? Wild

8. Your favourite drink? Bovril

9. Your dream/goal? Sweet

10. The room you're in? Padded

11. Your fear? Dribbling

12. Where do you want to be in 6 years? Shrewsbury

13. Where were you last night? Dunno

14. What you're not? 'bovvered'

15. Muffins? Please

16. One of your wish list items? Comments

17. Where you grew up? Haven't

18. The last thing you did? Dribbled (damn!)

19. What are you wearing? Smile

20. Your TV? Dusty

21. Your pet? Cats

22. Your computer? Infuriating

23. Your life? Frustrating

24. Your mood? Dangerous

25. Missing someone? Sons

26. Your car? Old

27. Something you're not wearing? Handcuffs

28. Favourite store? Post Office

29. Your summer? BRIEF

30. Your favourite colour? Fuchsia

31. When is the last time you laughed? January

32. Last time you cried? Just

OK, I did cheat a bit, but not as much as I wanted to!

I can't take any of your answers seriously, you silly woman. How do I know that fuchsia is really your favorite color? I may end up buying you a sweater in that color. Oh, be the way, I dribble all the time. What meaning does it have.

The Boisterous Butterfly - Now, that bit was true. Fuchsia is my favourite colour for sweaters. That would be a great present, thanks. ;0)

Dribbling, for me, means that I am over the hill and sliding down the other side. As for you, it probably means that you are just looking forward to your next cup of coffee. Definitely not over the hill. ;0)

Thanks so much for playing!! I loved your answers which made me giggle lots! I do need some explanation to no.28 though.

Significant other here grumpy too, but then, he does live with me!

Mean mom.......... you have such a good sense of humour! That was really funny. I don't believe a word of it though.
I did this meme once and wish I have done a funny one. Yours would be hard to beat though.

I have visions of you dribbling in a padded cell in a fuschia outfit. Not nice!

Made me laugh anyway!

Thanks for that very diplomatic answer, Sometimes I dribble with my mouth open while I sit behind the computer. It's an overproduction of spittle when faced with too much information, I think.

Suburbia - It's a well-known fact that old ladies like the post office. You weren't aware of it, because you're not as old as me. (Seriously, I suppose it's a bit of an outmoded idea, now, as most of the elderly have their pensions paid straight into their bank accounts! They no longer hang around at the post office on designated days to collect their money.)

maggie - Good to know that I made you laugh! You have a very vivid imagination!

The Boisterous Butterfly - You ARE funny! Now I have amusing pictures in MY mind! Do you enjoy blogging so much, perhaps, that it makes your mouth water?

Working mum said...

Bovril? Really? Major fib, I feel.

Mean Mom said...

working mum - Oh, you've caught me out! I like Bovril on my toast, sometimes, believe it or not and also on my baked potatoes. (It's all coming out now.) I used to drink it as a child, but no, it's never been my favourite drink. Tea, is my favourite drink, of course!

And the rest of the meme is the God's honest truth, as you have already guessed. (Even I am no longer sure which bits are true.) ;0)

I think I may have had a lobotomy and that is why I dribble and I only like to blog. It would explain a lot.

Found you on Maggie May's. Loved your answers - made me laugh.

Mean Mom said...

The Boisterous Butterfly - Well, that would be one explanation, but only if it's true, of course. ;0)

Strawberry Jam Anne - Welcome! It's good to know that I've put a smile on someone's face and any friend of Maggie's is a friend of mine, of course!

Thanks for the laughs, Mean Mom, but you've piqued my curiosity as well. If dribbling is a sign of getting older, then I must be way over the hill!

Mean Mom said...

Rose - The reason for dribbling is important, here, of course. If a lady starts to dribble when she looks at shoes and handbags, or when she goes into the garden centre, that's fine. It's also acceptable if she falls asleep with her mouth open. When she starts to dribble for no reason - well, that's the time to worry.
